Gonzalo E. Basante Pereira

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of New Hampshire. My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics, international economics, and corporate finance. I study how financial frictions and contract enforcement shape firm financing decisions and capital allocation, and how they mediate the aggregate effects of monetary and tax policy. My work combines structural theory with large-scale firm-level data to understand how financial systems affect economic performance across sectors and countries.
